This is a humble effort to bring clarity in essential principles which are to be known and practiced by devotees who are known as SrIvaishNavas/bhAgavathas/prapannas. These matters are explained with worldly examples based on what are seen in pUrvAchAryas’ literature and what have been heard from elders. There may be minor variations in practices/opinion based on the place where one is residing and the mutt/thirumALigai one may belong to. Further, one can become familiar with these principles with the help of this information available here and learn deeper meanings from one’s own elders and follow them.

Like Vishnuchitta Swami, experienced Bhagavan in the vatsalya bhavam, as Yashoda Piratti would see krishna, while Godha Devi, Thirumangai Azhwar and Nammalwar (Shatakopa Swami) expressed their bhakti through the madhurya bhavam, seeing Him as their beloved.
Adiyen wanted to ask:
Are such bhavas appropriate or permissible for ordinary jeevatmas like us? Or is it only allowed for us to relate to Bhagavan as a father.

Yes – as we mature in our devotion, bhagavAn itself will manifest different anubhavams for us. From our side, we just need to follow the instructions of pUrvAchAryas and lead a disciplined/devoted life.

Swami, While reading Bhu Stuti by Sri Vedant Desikan, Adiyen came across a beautiful description where it is said that Perumal takes the form of Adisheshan to keep Sri Bhumi devi Piratti on his 1000s of heads.
Adiyen got confused on one point—Is Adiseshan a separate nitya-surI, or is He considered a form or manifestation of Sriman Narayana Himself?
